Life In Death By Harlow Coban

Meet Kari Marchant a social worker committed to helping children in foster care. Patience Dolo is a foster child that is reported missing and due to an oversight by a co-worker Kari is not aware of her disappearance. When Patience is found murdered Kari is determined to find out what happened and who is responsible. Detectives Rance Nicolet and Rudy Cobb are assigned to investigate the murder and the three of them are on a collision course that is totally unforeseen.

Harlow Coban has delivered a fast-paced action packed chilling story with twists and turns every step of the way. The storyline will keep you totally in its grip and propel you forward. The characters each play an integral part in the story and keep you speculating until the end. The descriptive writing allows the reader to form an image of the brutality and ferociousness of the murders.

Life In Death, as noted in the end of the book, is a murder mystery which pulls from real-life situations from Harlow Cobans’ own family history which I find very intriguing. I love that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club in her home state of North Carolina.

I recommend LIFE IN DEATH to all readers who enjoy being involved in a mystery that takes you on a journey that is totally unexpected.
